Scott Elrod has a lifelong technical focus on applying entrepreneurial new business models for maximum impact into the IT, healthcare and finance industries. Having a mother go through systemic multi-organ Stage IV cancer brought him a new sense of urgency and desire to help the healthcare industry more adeptly adopt Silicon Valley technology.
He was formerly the Chief Information Officer of AmeriDoc, one of the largest nationwide telemedicine firms, where he grew their client base to 1,500,000 customers. Reporting to the CEO, he oversaw IT operations, competitive intelligence, telehealth industry/state legislative tracking, benefit broker ROI models, physician networks, Rx formularies, RFPs, and nurtured partner relationships at Mercer, Southwest Airlines, Wal-Mart, hospital systems, Transamerica Insurance and others.
He was also the IT director at the Asian American Chamber of Commerce and VP Program Development and Membership at the Association for Technical Analysis, focusing on genetic algorithms and applying technical analysis to fundamental historical datasets for predicting economic cycles. Elrod has also been manager of online projects & training at a daytrading brokerage firm, responsible for IT operations, stochastic daytrading models, and client services for the hedge fund industry. He assembled the largest private collection of stock market autotrader codesets. Throughout the nineties, he developed growth plans, projected sales ramps, and departmental hiring focus strategies for companies such as Pepsi, Oracle, Ernst & Young, and PwC.
