David L. Katz, MD, MPH, FACPM, FACP is the founding director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center. Recipient of numerous awards, including an honorary doctorate and nominations for U.S. Surgeon General, Katz is recognized globally for expertise in nutrition, weight management and chronic disease prevention. He is the current (2014) President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Katz is recognized as a gifted orator, and has been acclaimed by colleagues as the “poet laureate” of health promotion.
