    Head of Device Development group (12 staff) at San Carlos Technical R&D site, overseeing the design, development, and production of medical device, primarily dry powder and liquid pulmonary inhalers. Manage cross-functional teams of mechanical engineers and aerosol scientists, interacting closely with drug development, pharmaceutical analysis, manufacturing, business development and commercial/marketing functions. Supervise senior engineers, technicians and project managers. Additionally, oversee the development of all Novartis mobile apps regulated as medical devices. Actively participate in digital medicine and biosensor diligence exercises in support of Trials of the Future initiative. Support Business Development & Licensing as with strategic and technical input on due diligence for in-licensing deals.
