Completed a two-year post-graduate fellowship training course in health systems management. Rotations included Pediatrics, Radiology, Finance, Ambulatory Operations, Community Hospital Operations, Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Emergency Nursing, Perioperative Services, Patient Safety and Medical Affairs, Information Technology, and General Services. Accomplishments include: • Lead an 18 person interdisciplinary team to reduce median door-to-balloon time for STEMI patients from 157 minutes to 71 minutes, in accordance with national guidelines. Represented the Johns Hopkins Hospital on the Maryland STEMI Systems Advisory Committee. • Served as Surgical Implant Manager, coordinating a staff of 6 implant specialists and managing a $3.1M inventory, decreasing inventory of expired products by $500,000 and implementing consignment agreements for many implants • Coordinated trainings in patient safety and quality improvement for executive teams from the UK Primary Care Trust System, with a focus on reduction in hospital acquired infection • Collaborated with the 3 largest health systems in Maryland, state agencies, and private foundations to develop a business plan and growth strategy for the creation of a regional health information system for the exchange of clinical information.

Developed and coordinated the Liberia Health Management Delivery Program, a partnership between the Clinton Foundation, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and Yale University. Activities included initial in-country situational assessment, program design and identification of local partners, fellowship recruitment and placement, training curriculum development and the facilitation of a course in health systems management, training over 70 leaders of County Health Teams from around Liberia.
