Mr. Heneveld has over 23 years devoted to engineering, development, and commercialization of medical devices. The past 15 years he has consulted for start-up companies in the medical device arena. He has also been involved in the founding/co-founding of four companies; Aortx (percutaneous heart valve acquired by Hansen Medical), Sapphire Medical (orthopedic bone anchor acquired by Tornier), Spirx Closure (vascular suturing), and Suture Ease (fascial closure). He holds numerous medical device patents.
