The Institute for Functional Medicine | January 2015 - Current

IFM is the global leader in Functional Medicine. Its mission is to serve the highest expression of individual health through the widespread adoption of Functional Medicine as the standard of care. Recognizing that the primary drivers of the chronic disease epidemic are the daily interactions among our genetics, environment, and lifestyle choices, Functional Medicine provides a personalized, systems-oriented approach to managing health. It empowers patients and practitioners to restore, grow and protect health by working in collaboration to address the underlying causes of disease. My role on behalf of IFM is to stimulate and support growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration to accelerate the evolution of medicine and to broaden access to Functional Medicine by creating economic and employment opportunities for IFM faculty, graduates, and partners.

As a community of physicians who are true health care innovators, this organization has, and will continue to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of health care in the U.S.
